Shouldn’t Joe Biden be smarter then this? Regardless of if he is a Delaware alum, he had to know that his comments about Ohio State could effect the voters in Ohio, a state historically obsessed with their college teams. As stupid as the situation is, he had to know that Ohio is one of the tightest Presidential race states with many polls showing only a 1 point difference between the Obama/Biden ticket and the McCain/Palin ticket.
(CNN) — Joe Biden’s off-the-cuff remarks on the trail have at times taken the Obama campaign off-message, but the Delaware senator’s latest riff just may have landed him in hot water with voters — and die hard football fans — in a key battleground state. (more…)
Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin finally hit the national news in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Charlie Gibson. When questioned about being asked by John McCain to be his VP she said: (more…)
Who else saw the rock concert in Denver last night? You know the one with over 80,000 screaming fans in a football stadium cheering, dancing, singing, and screaming until they lost their voices. Stevie Wonder and Micheal McDonald performed and electrified the crowd. And oh yea … Barack Obama gave his acceptance speech to officially be the candidate for the Democrat party.
There was lots of news and media coverage and for a week it was all Democrats all the time. It was interesting to see but I wonder how many people watched, but didn’t actually listen. I wonder how many tuned in to see the popping camera flashes, the famous musicians sing, X-President Bubba Clinton with (more…)
What would any major party do in an election year and with the sudden absence of its leading candidate? We almost found out last month.
Just 41 seconds after discovering he no longer had full control of the plane’s up and down movements, the pilot told an FAA air traffic controller “at this time we would like to declare an emergency and also have CFR [crash equipment] standing by in St. Louis.”
An FAA spokesperson acknowledged today that its statements at the time of “no emergency” were wrong…
Some scary scary news tonight from ABS about just how serious the problems were on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign plane last month. (more…)
The internet is already buzzing. News stories are talking about it all over. Is this one of those speeches that is remembered for all time?
I have no idea, but this happened yesterday in Berlin Germany and I have already had it emailed to me 6 times in different mass emails. so people seem to be talking about it. (more…)
Again, all that really can be said is this - WHAT IN THE WORLD took Obama so long????? This was not brain surgery. This was simply moving as far away from a person or situation that was directly and negatively affecting his chances to become President. And this was not a questionable situation. It was blatantly obvious to everyone, literally everyone.
So finally, after months and months of his old pastor making inappropriate speech after speech, Obama finally could not longer be associated with him and officially resigned from the church he and his family had been members of for decades.
If Obama had not remained a leader for the Democratic nomination for President I am sure this would have never happened and (more…)
Even in these dismal political times, every now and then it is perfectly OK to laugh out loud, especially when something is actually funny. I love the new run of NBA commercials where they mash together two players faces in the middle. The combo-face then delivers inspirational speeches where the 2 sides of the heads seem to work together, but remain in their own voice. So it was due to happen that someone would smash together Clinton and Obama’s mugs for a parody of these interesting commercials.
I am just amazed that it was SNL that beat everyone to the punch. (more…)
Quick Question: Why did Obama not take this stance months ago? Who advised him to be soft on Wright initially? That person should be fired! Seems like a no-brainer to me.
As the democratic circus rolls through North Carolina we FINALLY saw Obama officially running (sprinting!) away from the seemingly endless controversy surrounding his former pastor Rev. Wright
“I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle that we saw yesterday,” Obama told reporters at a news conference in Hickory, NC. This comment came after Wright made three public appearances in four days to defend himself. In each appearance he has continued his wild rants, negative comments about the government and country, and hinted about his continued ties to Obama. Talk about trying to stretch your 15 minutes of fame (embarrassment!) (more…)
I hate to keep bringing this up, but it is unavoidable. Obama on pastor: If he hadn’t left, I would have. How convenient!
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS reported yesterday that Obama discussed his relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright on ABC’s “The View,” which was taped Thursday and aired Friday. He acknowledged that his former pastor’s controversial remarks were inappropriate and hurtful saying: “Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying there at the church,” Obama said.
What a bunch of crap.Isn’t it amazing that Wright’s remarks are called “inappropriate” by Obama, but had he been white, they would be called “racist” and there would be literal riots with Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton leading the way. (more…)
It looks like we have a real problem this year. Hillary is proving herself to be a whole lot like her untruthful husband Bill and a big fat liar. If she was close behind in the race for the Democrat nomination, she now has taken a whole step backward.
But then again Obama has been running a campaign primarily on one word “change”. There even is a drinking game based on it. I love it. But is one word enough to get elected? And as recently posted here, his associations with certain individuals has come under recent scrutiny and rightly so.
And then we have 70 something year old John McCain, who loves to counter a good inquiry with a quick you little jerk! (more…)
