Arizona Governor Brewer thinks she was chosen by God!

Is Arizona being run by a fundamentalist kook?

brewer

Following in the tradition of the great kings of Europe, unelected Arizona Governor Jan Brewer proclaimed her divine right of rule over the people of Arizona Wednesday night.

The Arizona Republic is reporting that in an address to a meeting of Lutheran Pastors in Phoenix, Brewer said “And I firmly believe that God has placed me in this powerful position of Arizona’s governor to help guide our state through the difficulties that we are currently facing,”

Republican Gov. Brewer took power in Arizona last January when democratically elected Gov. Janet Napolitano left office to serve in the Obama Administration. Brewer had been serving as Arizona Secretary of State previously.

Seeing that her appointment, of should we say anointment to Governor was divinely influenced, you’d think she could use her God connection to fix the states $3 Billion budget shortfall, its 9.1 unemployment rate or its horrible education system which ranks one of the lowest performing in the country.

But then again, having an educated electorate probably causes fear in the mind of someone who believes their political success is governed by magical deity in the sky.

I think it’s alright for people to have their personal beliefs; by this, I mean: things that people choose to believe in but, cannot be conclusively proven.

I think it would have been politically appropriate to have said something like: “I thank God for this opportunity… I pray for strength and wisdom… etc, etc, etc..

President Obama promised $100 million and the full resources of the U.S. government for what he said would be one of the largest relief efforts in recent history. U.S. officials said 30 countries had either sent aid or promised to do so. Rescue teams from eight countries were on the ground.

Well, to all who believe in God, the almighty, of course Jan Brewer was chosen to be be where God places her, as is everyone on the planet since God became all creation.Everyone has a purpose, even those who don’t believe God exist. It is simple that the entire existense of everything is of the creator, for nothingness can’t produce or create anything. Whether she is following God’s commandments, is also God’s knowledge.
But I must say, that on the 16th of Jan., 2010, her decision to eliminate all Medicaid, SSI, mental healthcare, isn’t of God, for it is much better to help humankind than to water the palm trees, as a metaphor. It is obvious that the solution for the budget deficit is spending money where it isn’t needed, and to design a way to help the growth of Arizona, and help the disadvantaged. Remember, there were manyvery wealthy people who lost everything due to many reasons that could have been prevented had any of the Presidents and powers wanted to prevent it. Even I can restructure a plan to set new guidelines to save all the programs she has chosen to eliminate, which will most surely cause more poverty crimes, suicides, and other means of death that can be avoided. We could tap into the states resources and put a hold on the global warming political agenda, as all who keep up with the facts know that the global warming has no scientific facts. Always political, yet so many choose to believe such things. It is obviously a cycle of the solar system. Now polution of all kinds is mans doing of course as well as many diseases can be prevented. But, yes, God placed Governor to run the office just as HE placed me to write this comment. Something only a creator can do. And for anyone who challenges this ideaology, just take out the good book and prove it wrong before making a decision there is no God, as most who choose not to believe in HIM won’t go to all the trouble, as it is simply a choice of free will, a gift given to us all. I just hope and pray the Governor takes the time to find other solutions rather than allow people to starve, die from illness and homelessness. Another example would be to put requirements on insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and doctors to not overcharge for the services, as well as cut spending on little things like a new car for whomever, etc. The redistribution of wealth idea could have worked had it been done without all the power and greed from those in power, as absolute power corrupts absolutely. We all should pray the Governor finds a better solution to the problems of Arizona so God can do HIS thing and she can hear HIM when HE speaks.
