Obama to Make History on ‘The View’ »

obama
Nope, it’s not Michelle. Unfortunately, it’s actually President Barack Obama who will be making an appearance on The View. Michelle Obama would be plenty acceptable to interview and she actually could even be offered a permanent spot by the time the episode wraps. Anyway, Barack Obama will be the first current president to appear on the daytime talk show and will be recording a pre-taped interview with the five completely irrational women on Wednesday.

The hogwash interview will include topics such as his celebrity sponsors administration’s accomplishments, magazine/tabloid covers jobs, most powerful celebrity couples the economy, James Cameron’s advice the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and of course his friendship with Oprah family life in the White House. Because that’s what is most important. It’s not important that he’s the President of the United States and likely has other things on his check list to be working on instead of flying Air Force One to New York City and wasting our time and his on a daytime talk show that nobody watches anyhow. It’s a beautiful thing.

You can be sure the ladies of The View are all ecstatic about the presidential visit with the exception of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The show is usually focused around tabloid headlines and celebrity promotional interviews. Like the time Obama went on the show in 2004 to promote his book, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.” What did he inherit? A green card … citizenship? Interesting.

The democratic Governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, expressed his opinion that The View may not be an appropriate forum for the sitting president of the United States. “I think the president should be accessible, should answer questions that are pre-screened, but I think there should be a little bit of dignity to the presidency.” Well, that all went out the window ages ago on late night television. So Randell suggests, “If I was advising President Obama, I’d say do as much ad hoc as you can do,” adding, “He doesn’t have to be scripted, he doesn’t have to be telepromptered.” And he may as well throw back a beer bong while he’s off the clock.

Does anyone else find it incredibly annoying how the world and the media have transformed the president into a baseball statistic? Every time President Obama pops up somewhere he’s making some sort of historical record. For example, “Today, the President will make history on The View.” Next time Obama’s going to wear a purple shirt instead of a white shirt and the headline will be “Today, the President will make history on The View. He’s never worn a purple shirt on The View ever before.” Spare me.

The White House spokesman Robert Gibbs explained, “Look, I think it is another opportunity for the president to talk to people where they are. We made a decision to put the president on Jay Leno, David Letterman, The View, because that’s where — people have busy lives and it’s best to go where they are. And I think that’s what the president will do tomorrow.” Or, maybe he’ll do a stand-up comedy act about his dwindling approval ratings? Because that’s a winner EVERY time. Will somebody watch this and let us know what happens … apparently unlike our president, we have work to do.

Out with McChrystal and In With Petraeus »

mcchrystalout

In the aftermath of General McChrystal’s legendary, possibly heroic, interview with Rolling Stone magazine, President Barack Obama has accepted the General’s resignation and has selected General David Petraeus to take control as top commander in Afghanistan. Beautiful! That’s excellent representation of this nation and the future of the war. The second a high commander is publicly honest about the state of affairs overseas, he’s out.

It is no secret that there is relentless division of opinion for everything that involves the strategy overseas. However the split opinion is never addressed and they continue to sweep the differences under a rug. So for the first time, a high commander tells it how it is, and he is eliminated all together. McChrystal may have said some offensive, off the cuff remarks, but at least he was honest. Something had to change. And after all, isn’t ‘Change’ President Obama’s motto?

This was an opportunity for Obamaland to walk the walk, but instead he steps up to the podium at the White House and continues to talk the talk. It’s obvious McChrystal’s remarks were impulsive and clearly he had had enough and subsequently offered his own resignation. Now that Petraeus is in the driver’s seat, what is going to change? Obama said in his speech, “It is the right thing for our mission in Afghanistan, for our military and our country.”

How’s this for Obama propaganda? The President believes McChrystal’s explosive remarks demoralize the civilian control of the military “at the core of our democratic system.” Additionally, Obama said, “I believe this mission demands unity of effort across our alliance and across my national security team… I don’t think that we can sustain that unity of effort and achieve our objectives in Afghanistan without making this change.”

Did that really happen today? The president is delusional. The fact of the matter is, the lack of unity is detrimental to the progress and success overseas, which was one point McChrystal made in his interview, and the entire world is aware of it. However, Obama wants to “sustain that unity” that they already have? What unity? That’s what is failing! For a man empowered by change, he certainly is sitting on his hands. It doesn’t matter now, the truth is out thanks to General McChrystal, and Obama already has the broom out.

Al Gore and Wife, Tipper, Announce Split »

thegores4
Say it isn’t so! Who would’ve thought after the Clinton/Gore era, Bill and Hilary Clinton would reconcile infidelity yet Al and Tipper Gore would split after 40 years of marriage. The Gores confirmed their split via and email to Politico.

The future ex-couple made a joint statement, “We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate.” After a 40 year union, wouldn’t you just go your separate ways and not even bother putting your energy into a divorce? Seriously, think of how long it would take to reach an agreement with 40 years of crap together. They’ll be dead before a settlement is made.

And where do you go after being with someone for 40 years? It is possible either Mr. or Mrs. has kindled another flame. Why else would you separate at their age after that long of a marriage? Any thoughts?

AZ Happy to Shut it Down for LA »

welcomeaz
Dear Los Angeles,

Buy flashlights!

Best Regards,

Arizona

When Arizona Governor, Janet Brewer, signed the new immigration bill mandating authorities to determine whether a person is in the United States legally, there was an eruption of international controversy. While protesters are claiming the bill promotes racial profiling, supporters reason the bill’s assistance to decrease local crime rates.

The new immigration bill is expected to activate in July. As a way of protesting, the city of Los Angeles has threatened to “boycott” Arizona, which in turn could cost Arizona millions. However, L.A. should consider the repercussions of a “boycott” before they actually pull the plug. Because Arizona is happy to LITERALLY pull the plug on L.A.

The Arizona Corporation Commission oversees the state’s water and electric utilities, and has offered to accommodate LA, and cut off electricity to 25% of the city. Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce wrote a letter to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaradigosa saying, “If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives power from Arizona-based generation,” Pierce continued, “I am confident that Arizona’s utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands.” Pierce’s letter was in response to the L.A. city council’s decision, on May 12, to boycott the state of Arizona.

Pierce’s spokesperson told CNNMoney.com, “It’s not a threat. It’s just pointing out the ramification of what L.A.’s threat would be on the boycott. If they carry out their threat to boycott Arizona, that includes 25% of their power.”

Politicians, mostly lefties, are at odds with the recent immigration commotion and saying all sort of nonsense like Senator Schumer, “You cannot pass an immigration bill unless you have bipartisan support,” the New York Democrat continued, “Right now we are unable to have a single Republican to come with us to the table to negotiate a bipartisan bill.” Oh! Is that a violin I hear playing? But it’s okay for a federal health care bill to pass without a single conservative vote? Bad news Senator, Arizona is a Red State, not a swing state. And more bad news; Arizona’s immigration bill has nearly three times the approval rating compared to President Obama’s ‘Immigration Reform.’ Cry me the Rio Grande, build a wall, and try to get over it. Oh! And don’t forget your passport!

Celebrities Speak Out About New Arizona Bill »

noillegalsA new strict Arizona law was passed on Friday that allows law enforcement to question members of the public in which they suspect could be living in the states illegally. It also requires immigrants to carry their documentation with them at all times, proving that they are legal in the states. President Obama called the law “misguided.” Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed “misguided” Senate Bill 1070 just hours later.

State Senator Russel Pearce said, “States have the inherent right to enforce the laws of our country. Arizona will set the pace. We are a nation of laws. We will lead the charge in Arizona to defend the U.S. Constitution. Arizona will do away with sanctuary cities and the sanctuary state. We want to let law enforcement do its job. We can’t continue with weak-kneed politicians.”

Many people are speaking out about this new measure. Including Puerto Rican pop singer, Ricky Martin. The Latin singer turned to Twitter, he tweeted: “Equality is understanding that we all come from the same place. Racial profiling should never be tolerated, in the U.S. or anywhere in the world. We’re moving backwards. Scary.”
He was joined by comedian George Lopez who tweeted, “ARIZONA..George Lopez is coming..Oops..I just got pulled over..Apparently I fit the profile..Gacho!!” He later tweeted, “AZ announces the first Spray Tanning Shop that sprays you lighter “the casper”..Tougher to Profile.”

“The crackdown in ARIZONA continues..The New Taco Bell TORTADA has been outlawed .by GOV Jan Brewer..As a treat to the Colon”s of her people !” and, “The changing the name of PATRON to make it more ARIZONA friendly..Now..PAT RON.”

Oh,Lopez. You sure do have jokes!

Actress Eva Longoria Parker and Latina actress Jessica Alba joined the protest and re-tweeted both stars messages. Parker wrote, “The recent legislation in Arizona threatens to undermine basic notions of fairness.”

What do you think of the new law?

Obama’s Health Reform Needs Urgent Care »

sorryyet
Sunday, President Barack Obummer Obama, signed an approximated $2.5 trillion healthcare program. During the hypocritical “democratic” assembly, the proposed Health Care Reform passed 219-212 votes. The said Health Care System will provide health coverage to about 32 million Americans without insurance. You do the math. Divide 940 million or 2.5 trillion (whatever the reported astronomical cost) by 32 million. Don’t worry about the math because I did the calculation and it works out to approximately $29 thousand to $78 thousand per uninsured American. Necessary? IDFTS (look it up at UrbanDictionary.com).

Republicans, logically and unanimously opposed the bill in addition to 34 knowledgeable Democrats. And this is the land by the people, for the people? After the December election is Massachusetts, it appeared Obamacare was destined to collapse. But that Nancy Pelosi, she’s got moves and she tweaked the WHOLE system so those 219 people could have their votes counted regardless of what the other 300 million Americans want. But as long as less than 15% of Americans have health care the other 85% has to pay for, it doesn’t matter because Obama finally signed something. Sense my sarcasm. Obama’s really earning that Peace Prize!

So, now there are 14 states that filed suit almost immediately after President Obummer Obama signed the bill, and as if Obamacare wasn’t a fiasco to begin with, now it is in shambles. These 14 states are filing suit against H.R. 4872 the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010, calling it “unconstitutional.” Florida Attorney General, Bill McCollum, said, “It forces people to do something… in the sense of buying a healthcare policy or paying a penalty, a tax of a fine… that simply the Constitution does not allow Congress to do.”

Shockingly, even Michael Moore isn’t on board with this cluster-f***, calling President Obama’s plan “phony”. According to Moore, this Health Care Reform “has EVERYTHING to do with lining the pockets of the health insurance industry,” he continued, “What company wouldn’t love the government forcing the public to buy that company’s product?! Imagine a law that made it illegal not to own an iPhone?” True enough.

These examples are precisely the reason 14 states so quickly reacted to the signing of H.R. 4827. Virginia, among the 14 states filing suits, has filed a separate suit against Obamacare because the state has passed a bill preventing federal mandates from requiring individuals in the state to purchase health insurance. Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli defends the suit saying, “There has never been a point in our history where the federal government has been given the authority to require citizens to buy goods or services.”

As former President Abraham Lincoln said, “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.” That is exactly what will happen to the insured 85% of Americans who end up paying for the uninsured 15%. For a nation that can offer the most innovative and reliable health care in the world, it appears Obamacare can accept the regression in medical innovation we should be so proud to offer.

Sarah Palin Connects with Canadian Health Care »

spalinSarah Palin has established her position as a celebrity more so than a politician ever since the culmination of the Presidential campaign in 2008. She is publicly criticized for her every move, yet she is still able to maintain a massive crowd of supporters including nearly 1.5 million fans on Facebook.

Yet this past Saturday, Palin gave a speech in Calgary where she revealed a piece of her childhood to the Canadian natives. Until Palin was five years-old, she lived in an Alaskan town, Skagway, near the border of the Canadian city, Whitehorse. Palin said, “Believe it or not, we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse… isn’t that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada.”

That has to be one of the dumbest stories she has ever told in her entire life. Palin is utterly opposed to anything having to do with President Barack Obama’s health care bill, yet she received national health care from Canada as a child. Did she think if she told a group of Canadians, she could relate to them in a special way, and Americans would never find out?

Here’s the thing… that all happened in the 1960’s when she was in the care of her parents at a very young age. It would be a totally different story if she said, “My grandson had ’some little kid accident thing’ and we rushed him on a train over to Whitehorse for medical treatment.” The difference is how she was raised and how she lives her life now. Surely at the ripe age of 5 she didn’t have much say in where she received health care. Unless she was a very intuitive 5-year-old who strictly opposed going to Whitehorse because she didn’t believe in public health care (highly doubtful).

Regardless of any reason, call it opportunistic or hypocritical, when Sarah Palin makes a statement like that, she is just setting herself up to be publicly scorned. The reason is simple, she has previously suggested that Canada discontinue its public health care program and said President Obama’s instantaneous demand for American health care is “irresponsible.” The wheels fall off too often for Palin when she speaks publicly. As they do for many people, which only makes her human. But that’s a perfectly good reason for her to not be in office, and same with our President. The “I’m just like every other average American” doesn’t mean anything. I don’t want someone like me in office, then every Joe Schmoe would run for office if that’s the situation. It’s a waste of time, which is a luxury America does not have at this point.

First Lady Doing More for U.S. Than Mr. President »

At least someone is doing something in the White House…
obesity
As of this morning, President Barack Obama has signed a memo in order to establish a federal task force regarding the epidemic of childhood obesity. This has to be the best thing he’s done since he moved into the White House, and his wife, First Lady Michelle, will be leading the campaign.

According to the memorandum, an encouraging plan of “optimal coordination” among the federal government, private and non-profit sectors will be established in the next 90 days. Mrs. Obama will lead an aggressive public relations effort to increase awareness of childhood obesity. The epidemic is “one of the most urgent health issues that we face in this country,” he continued, “We think that this has enormous promise in improving the health of our children, in giving support to parents to make the kinds of healthy choices that oftentimes are very difficult,” President Obama said from the White House.

The growing figures of childhood obesity are overwhelming, where the memo states approximately one-third of children born after 2000 will suffer from a form of diabetes at some stage in their life. Michelle Obama will launch the campaign this afternoon, along with mayors, doctors and sports leaders, as well as members of the President’s cabinet.

The First Lady stated in a speech last month, “We’ve seen the surge in obesity in this country is nothing short of a public health crisis, and it’s threatening our children, it’s threatening our families, and more importantly it’s threatening the future of this nation.” Kicking of the campaign against childhood obesity, Michelle Obama urges families to shut off televisions, drink more water and serve smaller portions. It is “really minor stuff. But these small changes resulted in some really significant improvements,” the First Lady said.

Michael Moore Pitifully Begs President Obama »

mmooreAside from being a millionaire, Michael Moore’s life must be miserable living in a frame of mind that is so unrealistic and hopeless. Maybe it is just words, that he makes a lot of money for, and when he’s done talking it doesn’t mean anything to him. Yesterday, Mr. Moore published an open letter he sent to President Obama. He is begging the President to reconsider his decision to send over 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan. He opens the letter saying, “Do you really want to be the new ‘war president’?” The best part is the seriousness of Mr. Moore’s letter. Apparently he missed the connection between the ongoing war to when Obama stepped into office. Therefore, Yes. Obama is the new Commander of the war. Apologies for the realism, Mr. Moore.

Mr. Moore believes there are “LESS than a hundred al-Qaeda left in Afghanistan,” and says there will be one hundred thousand troops “trying to crush a hundred guys living in caves.” He asks President Obama, “Are you serious? Have you drunk Bush’s Kool-Aid?” Oh, the irony! Are you serious, Mr. Moore? You did not consider the racist insinuation of that question? Dave Chapelle will be all over that material. Forget the Kool-Aid comment. You seriously think Al-Qaeda is the only threat to security? Not the Taliban and other independently operating radical Sunni movements allied with Al-Qaeda? This is why it would be miserable to live in your frame of mind. Where is the reality? And you’re neglecting Pakistan… probably intentionally.

Also, using the people who cried the night of his victory is not legitimate leverage for President Obama’s decision. The people who voted for him were not crying alone because the people who didn’t vote for him were crying as well. I recant my apologies because you can’t fix oblivious. My apologies are for the thousands of people who believe you.

President Obama’s Promise of ‘Change’ Off to a Very Slow Start »

change
A year has passed since President Barack Obama stood before a crowd in Grant Park as the president-elect. After a long campaign for “hope” and “change” he made dozens of promises to the American people and mainly his supporters. In one year, of those promises, how many promises has Obama kept and how many has be broken? He announced to the emotional crowd, “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term.” In a year since this declaration, it seems President Obama’s progress is off to a slow start.

The mostly “unchecked” list of promises include immigration reform, health care, and new financial regulations. Many of Obama’s campaign promises are marked as “in the works”, however time is slipping faster than the progress of “change”.

As Obama campaigned his presidency he promised to return the troops in Iraq home in 16 months, and “finish the fight against al Qaeda in Afghanistan.” Those 16 months have turned into 19, and as the troops remain on Iraqi grounds, Obama has deployed an additional 20,000 with consideration of sending thousands more. Obama also promised to oppose mandatory insurance and fining people who do not have insurance. The health care bill is “in the works,” however, both oppositions will likely appear in his health care bill and chalk up broken promises. President Obama also promised that lobbyists “will not work in my White House,” yet they are still present.

Of all Obama’s promises, kept, broken, or in the works, there are also dozens of promises receiving “no action.” Nearly a quarter of his term is complete, and there barely seems to be a dent in the list of promises Obama has made. His presidential clock is ticking and he has about 3 years to start taking action on his list of “no action” and “in the works.” How many promises of “change” will be kept, and how many will be broken? Or how many will receive any action at all at this progressive rate?
