In the aftermath of General McChrystal’s legendary, possibly heroic, interview with Rolling Stone magazine, President Barack Obama has accepted the General’s resignation and has selected General David Petraeus to take control as top commander in Afghanistan. Beautiful! That’s excellent representation of this nation and the future of the war. The second a high commander is publicly honest about the state of affairs overseas, he’s out.
It is no secret that there is relentless division of opinion for everything that involves the strategy overseas. However the split opinion is never addressed and they continue to sweep the differences under a rug. So for the first time, a high commander tells it how it is, and he is eliminated all together. McChrystal may have said some offensive, off the cuff remarks, but at least he was honest. Something had to change. And after all, isn’t ‘Change’ President Obama’s motto?
This was an opportunity for Obamaland to walk the walk, but instead he steps up to the podium at the White House and continues to talk the talk. It’s obvious McChrystal’s remarks were impulsive and clearly he had had enough and subsequently offered his own resignation. Now that Petraeus is in the driver’s seat, what is going to change? Obama said in his speech, “It is the right thing for our mission in Afghanistan, for our military and our country.”
How’s this for Obama propaganda? The President believes McChrystal’s explosive remarks demoralize the civilian control of the military “at the core of our democratic system.” Additionally, Obama said, “I believe this mission demands unity of effort across our alliance and across my national security team… I don’t think that we can sustain that unity of effort and achieve our objectives in Afghanistan without making this change.”
Did that really happen today? The president is delusional. The fact of the matter is, the lack of unity is detrimental to the progress and success overseas, which was one point McChrystal made in his interview, and the entire world is aware of it. However, Obama wants to “sustain that unity” that they already have? What unity? That’s what is failing! For a man empowered by change, he certainly is sitting on his hands. It doesn’t matter now, the truth is out thanks to General McChrystal, and Obama already has the broom out.

Dear Los Angeles,
Buy flashlights!
Best Regards,
Arizona
When Arizona Governor, Janet Brewer, signed the new immigration bill mandating authorities to determine whether a person is in the United States legally, there was an eruption of international controversy. While protesters are claiming the bill promotes racial profiling, supporters reason the bill’s assistance to decrease local crime rates.
The new immigration bill is expected to activate in July. As a way of protesting, the city of Los Angeles has threatened to “boycott” Arizona, which in turn could cost Arizona millions. However, L.A. should consider the repercussions of a “boycott” before they actually pull the plug. Because Arizona is happy to LITERALLY pull the plug on L.A.
The Arizona Corporation Commission oversees the state’s water and electric utilities, and has offered to accommodate LA, and cut off electricity to 25% of the city. Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce wrote a letter to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaradigosa saying, “If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives power from Arizona-based generation,” Pierce continued, “I am confident that Arizona’s utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands.” Pierce’s letter was in response to the L.A. city council’s decision, on May 12, to boycott the state of Arizona.
Pierce’s spokesperson told CNNMoney.com, “It’s not a threat. It’s just pointing out the ramification of what L.A.’s threat would be on the boycott. If they carry out their threat to boycott Arizona, that includes 25% of their power.”
Politicians, mostly lefties, are at odds with the recent immigration commotion and saying all sort of nonsense like Senator Schumer, “You cannot pass an immigration bill unless you have bipartisan support,” the New York Democrat continued, “Right now we are unable to have a single Republican to come with us to the table to negotiate a bipartisan bill.” Oh! Is that a violin I hear playing? But it’s okay for a federal health care bill to pass without a single conservative vote? Bad news Senator, Arizona is a Red State, not a swing state. And more bad news; Arizona’s immigration bill has nearly three times the approval rating compared to President Obama’s ‘Immigration Reform.’ Cry me the Rio Grande, build a wall, and try to get over it. Oh! And don’t forget your passport!

Seriously? What is wrong with our judicial system? It’s been eight years since Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped from her Salt Lake City bedroom at knifepoint, and the woman who pleaded guilty is finally being sentenced. Smart was only 14 when she was abducted, and held captive for nine months. She was found nine months later, walking down a street in the Salt Lake City suburb of Sandy, with another couple.
Wanda Eileen Barzee, 64, was sentenced on Friday to 15 years in federal prison. Yes…only 15 years! She pled guilty to federal charges of kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor, and she only gets 15 years! She took away the freedom of this young girl for 9 months…”I’m greatly humbled as I realize how much Elizabeth Smart has been victimized and the role I played in it,” she said. “I’m so sorry, Elizabeth, for all the pain and suffering I have caused you and your family. It is my hope that you will be able to find it in your heart to forgive me one day.”
Barzee’s husband Brian David Mitchell, is awaiting trial for the rape and kidnapping of Smart. As part of Barzee’s plea agreement, she agreed to testify in pending state and federal cases against her husband. Smart testified last October that Mitchell raped her almost daily during the nine months she was held captive. Smart was also forced into a polygamous marriage with the one-time traveling street preacher.
Smart’s mother delivered strong words to Barzee who stood just a few feet away from her in the court room, “Wanda Barzee, what you did to our family and to our girl Elizabeth was wrong. It was wrong and it was evil,” Lois Smart said in the courtroom. “Mothers don’t do that to mothers…Mothers don’t do that to children.”
Mitchell’s federal trial is set to start November 1.

After a long appeal process, the British born, Linda Carty, will be executed after justices denied review of her 2001 murder abduction case. The appeal to the Supreme Court for a stay of execution was the last long shot for Carty after being sentenced to the death penalty for killing her neighbor.
Carty’s appeal was based on claims Texas officials had delayed informing British authorities of her prosecution, therefore devastating her defense in court. Carty’s attorneys were depending on the Vienna Convention and a U.S./British treaty which requires notification of arrests of nationals “without delay.” A British consul general in Houston, Paul Lynch, explained, “It made a material difference in this case. It is quite clear to us that Linda Carty did not get the assistance she should have and the trial she should have.”
Carty’s defense team affirmed the result of her trial would’ve been different if the defendant had been accorded the protections provided by the British government. Rule number one… don’t mess with Texas! The 51-year-old defendant was sentenced to the death penalty in 2002 for murdering a 25-year-old, Joana Rodriguez.
In the fall of 2009, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed there were problems with Carty’s trial, however, the lower court upheld the denial of a stay of execution. Prosecutors charged Linda Carty for the participation of kidnapping and killing Joana Rodriguez in an attempt to steal the victim’s baby. Rodriguez died and the baby was physically unharmed. Texas Assistant Attorney General Katherine D. Hayes admitted the evidence of Carty’s guilt was “overwhelming.”
Carty is the first British woman to be executed in 55 years. Sorry, but this is ridiculous, and that’s what she gets for poor decision-making. What a waste of American dollars, and she’s not even American. Her victim’s child is 8 or 9 year-old now and doesn’t have a mother.

A new strict Arizona law was passed on Friday that allows law enforcement to question members of the public in which they suspect could be living in the states illegally. It also requires immigrants to carry their documentation with them at all times, proving that they are legal in the states. President Obama called the law “misguided.” Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed “misguided” Senate Bill 1070 just hours later.
State Senator Russel Pearce said, “States have the inherent right to enforce the laws of our country. Arizona will set the pace. We are a nation of laws. We will lead the charge in Arizona to defend the U.S. Constitution. Arizona will do away with sanctuary cities and the sanctuary state. We want to let law enforcement do its job. We can’t continue with weak-kneed politicians.”
Many people are speaking out about this new measure. Including Puerto Rican pop singer, Ricky Martin. The Latin singer turned to Twitter, he tweeted: “Equality is understanding that we all come from the same place. Racial profiling should never be tolerated, in the U.S. or anywhere in the world. We’re moving backwards. Scary.”
He was joined by comedian George Lopez who tweeted, “ARIZONA..George Lopez is coming..Oops..I just got pulled over..Apparently I fit the profile..Gacho!!” He later tweeted, “AZ announces the first Spray Tanning Shop that sprays you lighter “the casper”..Tougher to Profile.”
“The crackdown in ARIZONA continues..The New Taco Bell TORTADA has been outlawed .by GOV Jan Brewer..As a treat to the Colon”s of her people !” and, “The changing the name of PATRON to make it more ARIZONA friendly..Now..PAT RON.”
Oh,Lopez. You sure do have jokes!
Actress Eva Longoria Parker and Latina actress Jessica Alba joined the protest and re-tweeted both stars messages. Parker wrote, “The recent legislation in Arizona threatens to undermine basic notions of fairness.”
What do you think of the new law?

The South Hadley High School student, Phoebe Prince’s, story of being bullied to death is different to all the others. Why? Because for the first time, law officials are placing the blame and responsibility of a teen suicide on the victim’s bullies. Phoebe Prince was a beautiful teenager, who recently emigrated to Massachusetts with her family from County Clare, Ireland.
Almost from the moment Prince walked on her high school’s campus, she was ostracized for dating a popular boy, and was ultimately pushed beyond her brink of tolerance and hanged herself on an especially brutal day, January 14. Phoebe Prince was verbally attacked and hit with a bottle when she walked home from school, according to reports.
Although this is not the first teen suicide as a result of bullying, Phoebe’s malicious attackers are now facing the consequences. Yesterday, nine teenagers, 16 to 18 years old, were indicted and will face the charges of Prince’s “unrelenting” bullying. A clique of seven narcissistic girls have been charged with stalking, criminal harassment and violating Prince’s civil rights. In addition to the girls, two boys have been charged with statutory rape.
The District Attorney, Elizabeth Scheibel, revealed the teens’ charges yesterday, explaining the events leading to Phoebe Prince’s death as “the culmination of a nearly three-month campaign of verbally assaultive behavior and threats of physical harm.” Scheibel continued, “The invesigation revealed relentless activity directed toward Phoebe, designed to humiliate her and to make it impossible for her to remain at school. The bullying, for her, became intolerable.”
The unfortunate events at South Hadley High School and the loss of a beautiful teenage girl has initiated a historical milestone for the anti-cyberbullying activists. Michael Lieberman, counsel to the Anti-Defamation League in Washington stated, “There has been an explosion of cyberbullying and students can blithely and anonymously destroy the lives of innocent scapegoats. Principals, teachers, have been stymied. Something has to be done about it.”
Phoebe Prince’s tragic end to her life marks the first of all the consequences to come for bullies, to make them accountable and take the responsibility for the death of their victims. After charges have been filed, the faculty and staff at South Hadley High School are sitting in a hot seat facing difficult questions. Barbara Coloroso stated she discussed the situation with parents and administrators prior to Prince’s suicide. Coloroso asks, “Did they follow their own rules and did they keep Phoebe safe? Obviously not. And, did they deal effectively with the bullies? Obviously not.”
The school officials have yet to comment on the charges or answer any questions at this time. District Attorney Scheibel refused to further discuss the conditions of the rape charges, and Phoebe Prince’s family has moved since the tragedy took place and have yet to be located for comment.

Sunday, President Barack Obummer Obama, signed an approximated $2.5 trillion healthcare program. During the hypocritical “democratic” assembly, the proposed Health Care Reform passed 219-212 votes. The said Health Care System will provide health coverage to about 32 million Americans without insurance. You do the math. Divide 940 million or 2.5 trillion (whatever the reported astronomical cost) by 32 million. Don’t worry about the math because I did the calculation and it works out to approximately $29 thousand to $78 thousand per uninsured American. Necessary? IDFTS (look it up at UrbanDictionary.com).
Republicans, logically and unanimously opposed the bill in addition to 34 knowledgeable Democrats. And this is the land by the people, for the people? After the December election is Massachusetts, it appeared Obamacare was destined to collapse. But that Nancy Pelosi, she’s got moves and she tweaked the WHOLE system so those 219 people could have their votes counted regardless of what the other 300 million Americans want. But as long as less than 15% of Americans have health care the other 85% has to pay for, it doesn’t matter because Obama finally signed something. Sense my sarcasm. Obama’s really earning that Peace Prize!
So, now there are 14 states that filed suit almost immediately after President Obummer Obama signed the bill, and as if Obamacare wasn’t a fiasco to begin with, now it is in shambles. These 14 states are filing suit against H.R. 4872 the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010, calling it “unconstitutional.” Florida Attorney General, Bill McCollum, said, “It forces people to do something… in the sense of buying a healthcare policy or paying a penalty, a tax of a fine… that simply the Constitution does not allow Congress to do.”
Shockingly, even Michael Moore isn’t on board with this cluster-f***, calling President Obama’s plan “phony”. According to Moore, this Health Care Reform “has EVERYTHING to do with lining the pockets of the health insurance industry,” he continued, “What company wouldn’t love the government forcing the public to buy that company’s product?! Imagine a law that made it illegal not to own an iPhone?” True enough.
These examples are precisely the reason 14 states so quickly reacted to the signing of H.R. 4827. Virginia, among the 14 states filing suits, has filed a separate suit against Obamacare because the state has passed a bill preventing federal mandates from requiring individuals in the state to purchase health insurance. Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli defends the suit saying, “There has never been a point in our history where the federal government has been given the authority to require citizens to buy goods or services.”
As former President Abraham Lincoln said, “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.” That is exactly what will happen to the insured 85% of Americans who end up paying for the uninsured 15%. For a nation that can offer the most innovative and reliable health care in the world, it appears Obamacare can accept the regression in medical innovation we should be so proud to offer.

What is reality television coming to?
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, has signed on with the Discovery Channel to host a reality show about the Last Frontier. Palin is an American politician, author, speaker, and political commentator, and now she can add reality television star to her list.
According to The Washington Post, the series in which Sarah Palin will be hosting has been picked up for a reported whopping one million dollars plus per episode. If that’s the truth, then this will be the most expensive made reality documentary to date.
The travel series, which will be produced by Mark Burnett, will feature Alaska’s ex-governor giving tours and participating in different activities such as fishing, to gold mining. The former Vice President will focus on the traditions, people, and the natural wonders of her home state. According to Variety, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska will center on interesting characters, traditions and attractions in the 49th state — with the ex-VP candidate as a guide.”
So what do you think, you excited to see what this new reality series is all about? Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into another self-proclaimed reality series similar to Jon and Kate Plus 8.

Sarah Palin has established her position as a celebrity more so than a politician ever since the culmination of the Presidential campaign in 2008. She is publicly criticized for her every move, yet she is still able to maintain a massive crowd of supporters including nearly 1.5 million fans on Facebook.
Yet this past Saturday, Palin gave a speech in Calgary where she revealed a piece of her childhood to the Canadian natives. Until Palin was five years-old, she lived in an Alaskan town, Skagway, near the border of the Canadian city, Whitehorse. Palin said, “Believe it or not, we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse… isn’t that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada.”
That has to be one of the dumbest stories she has ever told in her entire life. Palin is utterly opposed to anything having to do with President Barack Obama’s health care bill, yet she received national health care from Canada as a child. Did she think if she told a group of Canadians, she could relate to them in a special way, and Americans would never find out?
Here’s the thing… that all happened in the 1960’s when she was in the care of her parents at a very young age. It would be a totally different story if she said, “My grandson had ’some little kid accident thing’ and we rushed him on a train over to Whitehorse for medical treatment.” The difference is how she was raised and how she lives her life now. Surely at the ripe age of 5 she didn’t have much say in where she received health care. Unless she was a very intuitive 5-year-old who strictly opposed going to Whitehorse because she didn’t believe in public health care (highly doubtful).
Regardless of any reason, call it opportunistic or hypocritical, when Sarah Palin makes a statement like that, she is just setting herself up to be publicly scorned. The reason is simple, she has previously suggested that Canada discontinue its public health care program and said President Obama’s instantaneous demand for American health care is “irresponsible.” The wheels fall off too often for Palin when she speaks publicly. As they do for many people, which only makes her human. But that’s a perfectly good reason for her to not be in office, and same with our President. The “I’m just like every other average American” doesn’t mean anything. I don’t want someone like me in office, then every Joe Schmoe would run for office if that’s the situation. It’s a waste of time, which is a luxury America does not have at this point.

This past Wednesday, animal trainer, Dawn Brancheau was killed during a Shamu performance at the Sea World in Orlando, Fla. Brancheau was a 40-year-old veteran trainer among few other trainers permitted to work with the Orca, Tilikum, due to the animal’s volatile past. Unfortunately, it has been reported Brancheau was the third person this “killer whale” has killed. Apologies for my lack of weeping, but this enormous mammal is in fact an Orca, and has been re-named a “killer whale” for a reason.
According to witness statements, Brancheau was performing before an audience when she leaned over and the whale pulled her by her ponytail into the tank. It was then that the animal began to attack Brancheau. The autopsy revealed Brancheau likely died from mulitple traumatic injuries she suffered as well as drowning, according to the Orange County medical examiner.
Evidently, the executives at Sea World have ignored the behavioral patterns of a veteran Orca at the Orlando, FL Park. Hint, hint… this orca may not be content in captivity. The death of Brancheau is being titled an accident, which is completely inappropriate. It is in the animal’s nature to be aggressive at times. It absolutely is a tragedy that a human life was lost, but not exactly shocking when considering the circumstances that were ignored.
The park re-opened Thursday, however as a result of this tragedy, Sea World has indefinitely suspended future performances in the Shamu Stadium until the investigation is complete. There are no plans to euthanize the 12,000 pound whale, and TIlikum (pet name) is currently in the holding tank with the other orcas.
